Today, June 1st, marks the 86th birthday of a timeless and iconic female… Ms. Marilyn Monroe. As 2012 started, I really saw Marilyn come to life everywhere I turned. I personally deemed this the year of Marilyn. She's on TV in the drama SMASH, she was on the big screen in biographical movie "My Week with Marilyn," and she even joined us on the streets of Michigan Avenue. I know there are some parts of her life that make it difficult to call her my mentor, but I do truly look up to her. She had amazing confidence. She knew who she was and she owned it. That confidence is inspiring.
I am so proud to be in the business of creating that inspiring spark in the women I work with each week. With each one, I watch a transformation from the curious to the empowered. Quickly realizing their own beauty and confidence, Marilyn exudes from each one of these lovely ladies.
